Job Overview

The Interior Health Authority has a casual opportunity for a Medical Registration Clerk to join their team in Lillooet, BC. As a vital member of the hospital staff, you will be responsible for performing clerical and patient registration duties. This is a fantastic chance to gain experience in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

You will be expected to complete patient registration documentation, including interviewing patients and relatives to obtain personal information and proof of eligibility. You will also schedule appointments, communicate with staff and patients, and perform accounts receivable duties.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Grade 12 education, two years of recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and training. You must also possess excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as knowledge of medical terminology. Additionally, you should be able to type at 45 wpm and possess a physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.

Working Conditions

This is a casual position, which means that there are no guaranteed hours and work requirements can vary from 0-37.5 hours per week. You will be required to work rotating days, 08:00 to 16:00, with days off on Sunday and Saturday. You may also be required to work on-call shifts.

Salary Information

We offer a competitive salary of $27.79 per hour, plus applicable benefits and allowances.
