Senior Cloud and Windows Infrastructure Specialist

What you'll do
  • Support agile innovative infrastructure solutions/Infrastructure management solutions that take advantage of cloud technology to allow cost optimization and standardization.
  • Manage the OS, Load balancers, and Web server related issues and configuration.
  • Manage the repave or patching activity seamlessly with the help of IaC automation.
  • Collaborate with the team to build and manage Cloud IaC (Infrastructure as Code) standards and implementation.
  • Work closely with geographically distributed teams on technical challenges and process improvements.
  • Provide on-call support.
  • Take control of the deliverables and lead the entire team.
What you bring to the role
  • Proficient in AWS or GCP Cloud.
  • Strong Windows Administration and tuning skills.
  • Hands-on experience with Performance Tuning, OS Patching, IIS Webserver support, Active Directory Management, Users and Group Management, DNS/NS Management, and SSL Certificate Management.
  • Knowledge of protocols such as DNS, LDAP, and SMTP.
  • Expert in PowerShell and/or Python scripting.
  • Knowledge in Globalscape or similar FTP tools.
  • Nice to have knowledge in Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, GitHub, etc.
  • Knowledge in observability tools such as Elastic.
Working arrangements

Based on this role's business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 2 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Halifax, NS.
