Key Responsibilities:

As a Cloud Infrastructure Specialist at Nexus Systems Group Inc., you will design and implement secure, scalable, and robust cloud infrastructure solutions using GCP to support application development and deployment needs.

You will migrate existing on-premises applications and services to GCP, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.

Additionally, you will monitor cloud environments, analyze performance metrics, and implement enhancements to meet scalability and cost-efficiency goals.

Furthermore, you will automate cloud operations and deployment processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices and tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.

You will ensure compliance with security and data protection regulations by implementing and managing cloud security tools and best practices.

Collaboration with development teams is essential to architect cloud-native solutions that are optimized for GCP.

Providing technical guidance and support for cloud-related issues to IT and development teams is also a key responsibility.

Staying up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and GCP features is crucial to continuously improve cloud infrastructure and operations.

Requirements:
  1. 10+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with a strong focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  2. Proven track record of designing, deploying, and managing applications on GCP, including experience with GCP services such as Compute Engine, App Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Functions, and BigQuery.
  3. 5+ years of experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  4. Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, and IAM best practices.
  5. Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.
Preferred Skills:
  1. Previous experience working in an Agile environment is an asset.

  3. Strong problem solver who supports the team to navigate challenges and/or asks for help from above when needed.
Education & Certificates:
  1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
