About the Role
We're looking for a seasoned professional with a strong background in SAP applications and a proven track record of leading teams to success. As the Lead, Applications - SAP, you'll be responsible for coordinating software maintenance and development activities, guiding IT resources, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate software maintenance and development activities to ensure timely and effective delivery of software solutions.
- Guide and influence IT resources to achieve business objectives and drive innovation.
- Oversee project lifecycles and ensure successful delivery of high-quality software solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement assigned products/projects/PEERs (on-time and in-full).
- Hold teams accountable for software development best practices for solutioning, coding, and testing.
- Review and approve critical project artifacts, such as technical specification documents and functional specification documents.
- Lead discussions with business stakeholders to get requirements, design, and solution buy-in.
- Prepare software packages for deployment that adhere to defined standard deployment policies.
- Be highly responsive to critical production issues, providing timely and effective solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or related field with strong academic record.
- 7-10+ years of progressive work experience in software development, with 3-5+ years of experience as an Applications or Team Lead.
- Hands-on experience in developing RICEFWs and good knowledge of FICO configurations.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to interact with business users and stakeholders.
- Experience working with North American business/organizations (CAN/US/Mexico).
- Excellent organization, logic, and analytical skills, with a strong aptitude for problem-solving.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex issues, propose effective solutions, and drive projects to successful completion.
- Skilled at influencing others who do not report directly to them.
- Proven ability to apply agile concepts and methodology to ensure technology solutions are flexible to meet changing business needs.
- Knowledge of various IT development practices and tools.
