Nurse Practitioner, Cleft Palate Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team at BC Children's Hospital and BC Women's Hospital + Health Centre. As a Nurse Practitioner, Cleft Palate Specialist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients with cleft palate and craniofacial conditions.
Key Responsibilities:- Diagnose and treat patients with cleft palate and craniofacial conditions, including ordering diagnostic investigations and interpreting results.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including surgeons, dentists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide education and support to patients and families, including counseling and guidance on health and wellness.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to identify and address population health trends and develop strategies for prevention and health promotion.
- Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives to advance the field of cleft palate and craniofacial care.
- Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP) and the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM).
- Minimum of 4 years of recent, relevant clinical nursing experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex patient data and develop effective treatment plans.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and communication.
