Nurse Practitioner, Cleft Palate Specialist Opportunity

BC Children's Hospital & BC Women's Hospital + Health Centre is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team in the Outpatient Clinic. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients with cleft palate and craniofacial conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and treat patients with cleft palate and craniofacial conditions, including ordering diagnostic investigations and interpreting results.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Prescribe medications and provide first-line care in emergencies.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and families about health findings, diagnoses, and treatment options.
  • Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives to advance patient care and nursing practice.

Requirements:

  • Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP).
  • Minimum of 4 years of recent, relevant clinical nursing experience.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
