The Position

We are seeking a skilled Psychologist to join our Specialized Orthopedic and Developmental Rehabilitation (SODR) team. This is a temporary position, and applicants with either full-time or part-time availability are encouraged to apply.

About the Role

The SODR program provides intensive in-patient rehabilitation services to clients who require complex physical and psychosocial care. Our team focuses on supporting clients and their families in processing new diagnoses and fully engaging in the rehabilitation program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychological assessments and interventions in both group and individual formats
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessed needs in conjunction with the interprofessional team
  • Provide education and training sessions to the interprofessional team
  • Supervise psychology practicum and internship students
  • Engage in program development and support program evaluation

Requirements

  • PhD in Psychology required
  • Registration with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO) required, with declared competencies in Clinical Psychology with children and adolescents
  • CPBAO Certificate of Registration Authorizing Autonomous Practice as a Psychologist required
  • Knowledge and application of individual and group-based interventions required
  • Knowledge and experience of trauma-informed interventions (or willingness to obtain training in these interventions) required
