Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Restaurant Cook to join our team at Blackpepper. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate special events and determine food portion sizes and costs
  • Plan menus and estimate food requirements for realization
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies, and prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and inspect kitchens and food service areas
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and order supplies and equipment
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas, and recruit and hire staff
  • Organize buffets and banquets, and manage kitchen operations
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the field
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
