Job Title: Community and Social Services Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community and Social Services Worker to join our team at Strive Living West Kelowna. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with diverse needs and backgrounds.

Work Environment

Our team works in a variety of settings, including group homes, community centers, and private residences. You will have the opportunity to work with culturally diverse groups, including females and males, and support individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other behavioral challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative and office support, including data entry and record-keeping.
  • Assess clients' needs and eligibility for specific services, and develop personalized support plans.
  • Resolve conflict situations and implement behavior management programs.
  • Liaise with other social services agencies and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive support.
  • Accompany clients to appointments and social outings, and provide emotional support as needed.
Requirements
  • College diploma or equivalent in a related field, such as social work or psychology.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a group home or community setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on client-centered care.
