Job Title: Community and Social Services Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community and Social Services Worker to join our team at Strive Living West Kelowna. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with diverse needs and backgrounds.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide direct support to clients in a group home setting, focusing on personal and social adjustment, health, and behavior management. You will work collaboratively with other social services agencies and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative and office support as needed
  • Assess clients' needs and eligibility for specific services
  • Resolve conflict situations and implement behavior management programs
  • Liaise with other social services agencies and healthcare providers
  • Assist clients with special needs and accompany them to appointments and social outings
  • Participate in Mandt System training and maintain First Aid and CPR certifications
Requirements:
  • Certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the field
  • Efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, and a client-focused approach
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
