Project Cost Control Engineer Job Description

Adecco Canada is currently hiring a Project Cost Control Engineer for our client in Calgary, Alberta.

Job Summary:

This is a temporary, full-time opportunity for a skilled Project Cost Control Engineer to join our team. As a key member of the project control function, you will be responsible for ensuring project efficiency and adherence to standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Project Cost Control: Prepare and ensure accuracy of overall project control reports, coordinate project cost analysis activities, including cost coding and SAP use.
  • Liaison with Project Management: Provide insights and guidance on project controls, identify and prepare estimates for change orders, trends, and extra work orders.
  • Schedule Development: Assist in developing and maintaining engineering, procurement, and construction schedules.
  • Closeout Reports: Coordinate project closeout reports, ensuring all cost, progress, and schedule data is properly recorded.
  • Financial Analysis: Monitor and verify service entries and invoices, facilitate purchasing and contracting processes in collaboration with SCM.
Requirements:
  • Eligibility: Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada.
  • Certifications: PMP, AACE, or CCP certifications are preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in project control roles.
  • Skill Set: Strong knowledge of cost control systems, SAP, and project control reporting, familiarity with construction and related site cost reporting.

Estimated Salary:

$85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
