Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staffing Rotations Coordinator to join our team at Fraser Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, approving, maintaining, and implementing staff rotations, processes, policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and evaluate rotations to meet baseline staffing requirements, ensuring compliance with collective agreement requirements, operational needs, and budget restraints.
  • Work with clients to share staff information and develop optimal rotations, taking into consideration vacations, leaves of absence, and scheduled hours.
  • Provide consultation, advice, assistance, and guidance to clients on rotation implementation, operational needs, and collective agreement language.
  • Collaborate with clients, Human Resources, HEABC, and unions to develop, revise, and approve new and existing rotations.
  • Identify opportunities for rotation efficiencies, such as maintaining relief pools and advance booking initiatives.
  • Provide education and training on rotation development to clients, including rotation-related policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Resolve day-to-day operational issues, such as communication on rotation processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources to provide collective agreement interpretation and application on issues such as hours of work, work schedules, and master rotations.
  • Responsible for the selection, evaluation, development, and termination of staff, as required.
  • Develop and implement performance standards, supervise designated staff, and determine applicable training and orientation requirements.
Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess a Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline, supplemented with three to five years' recent related healthcare experience utilizing a computerized scheduling program, including one year of supervisory/leadership experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
