Job Title: Retail Store Manager
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Retail Store Manager to join our team at Erin Esso. As a Retail Store Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail store, including sales, customer service, and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assign sales workers to duties and ensure they are equipped to provide excellent customer service.
- Hire and train or arrange for training of staff to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their roles effectively.
- Authorize payments by cheque and maintain accurate financial records.
- Order merchandise and ensure it is stocked and displayed effectively in the store.
- Authorize return of merchandise and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Establish work schedules and ensure they are followed by all staff members.
- Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions.
- Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages.
- Organize and maintain inventory to ensure it is accurate and up-to-date.
- Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers to ensure they are working efficiently and effectively.
- Conduct performance reviews to identify areas for improvement and provide feedback to staff.
Requirements:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail management role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliability and flexibility.
