About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team at F & S Logistics Limited. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country, ensuring timely delivery and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Route Planning and Execution

Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, GPS, and other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.

Mountain Driving Expertise

Drive safely and efficiently in mountainous terrain, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.

Teamwork and Communication

Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, working closely with colleagues to ensure smooth transportation of goods.

Vehicle Maintenance

Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Documentation and Record-Keeping

Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, as well as obtain and relay information to central dispatch.

Cargo Security and Safety

Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.

Requirements
  • Certifications and Licenses

AZ class license, Driver's License (Class 1 or A), and a valid driver's record.

Personal Qualities

Judgment, organized, reliability, team player, hardworking, and patience.

Experience

Will train, with a focus on developing skills and expertise in long haul truck driving.
