About the Role

This is a permanent full-time position working 30 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role and be fluent in English.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $45,000 - $60,000 per annum, depending on experience and location.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair telecommunications equipment: Our Telecommunications Specialist will be responsible for diagnosing and locating equipment faults, adjusting or replacing defective parts, and ensuring that all equipment is functioning correctly.
  • Install and maintain telephone systems: This role involves installing, arranging, removing, and maintaining telephone equipment, wiring, and associated hardware.
  • Test and analyze telecommunications systems: Our specialist will test installed telephone systems to locate transmission faults and analyze test results to make necessary adjustments or repairs.
  • Maintain and repair aerial and underground transmission systems: This includes repairing or replacing faulty cables, power suppliers, and amplifiers.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate: A secondary school diploma or equivalent is required for this role.
  • Excellent communication skills: Our Telecommunications Specialist must have excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues and clients.
  • Attention to detail: This role requires strong attention to detail to ensure accurate diagnoses and repairs.
