About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our Heritage team at WSP in Canada. As a Project Manager, you will play a key role in leading and managing projects from proposal to closure, ensuring they are delivered on schedule and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage projects from proposal to closure, ensuring they are delivered on schedule and within budget.
  • Work with various internal and external stakeholders to plan projects, including scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Successfully manage projects, including tracking costs and procuring extra budget funding where necessary.
  • Assemble, manage, and use a project monitoring system to monitor and track project progress.
  • Implement various project financial and accounting processes to manage DSO, variance, and project multipliers.
  • Establish, implement, and follow a formal change management program.
  • Develop and implement project support plans, including health and safety, quality, risk management, communication, documentation, etc.
  • Manage projects with technical teams to deliver on schedule and budget, and meet the technical requirements of clients, Indigenous organizations, and regulatory agencies.
  • Communicate regularly and frequently with clients and project teams to offer support and guidance.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior project staff.
  • Participate in WSP's Health & Safety program, demonstrating a 'Safety First' focus and acting as a role model to other staff.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years related project management work experience, ideally within a large and diverse organization.
  • An interest in archaeology and cultural heritage and working with Indigenous groups.
  • Superior project planning and organizational skills; successful ability to lead diverse teams.
  • Excellent computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and Adobe Acrobat Software.
  • Experience in Horizon Oracle or similar accounting systems would be an asset.
  • Detail conscious and result-oriented.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethics.
  • Ability to contribute to a positive team environment.
  • Experience in engineering or environmental consulting and/or a PMP would be considered an asset.
