Ethnic Food Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Ethnic Food Specialist to join our team at Bombay Street Tadka. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring high-quality standards and presentation.
Responsibilities:- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, adhering to our menu and quality standards.
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization.
- Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Order supplies and equipment, maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
- Clean kitchen and work areas, maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
- Manage kitchen operations, ensuring efficient use of resources and meeting customer expectations.
- South Indian cuisine, with a focus on traditional recipes and flavors.
- Fast-paced environment, requiring attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Physically demanding, with frequent standing, walking, and lifting.
- Repetitive tasks, requiring manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Provides awareness training to employees, promoting a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities.
- Applies accessible and inclusive recruitment policies, accommodating persons with disabilities.
- Recruits newcomers and/or refugees, providing opportunities for integration and growth.
- Provides awareness training to employees, creating a welcoming work environment for youth.

- Facilitates access to Elders, providing support and guidance to Indigenous workers.
- Applies hiring policies that discourage age discrimination, promoting a diverse and inclusive workforce.
- Applies hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities, promoting a welcoming and inclusive work environment.
