The Opportunity

Full Time – FTE 1.0 – 77.5 Hours Biweekly

Salary: Commensurate with education and experience.

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Shepherd's Care Foundation. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will be responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating occupational therapy interventions for our long-term care residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy plans to promote resident independence and well-being
  • Lead the site's therapy team of Aides and Assistants to ensure high-quality care
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to advocate for resident needs and preferences
  • Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to ensure resident progress and adjust therapy plans as needed

Requirements:

  • Current registration and practice permit with Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT)
  • Fluent English language skills (reading, writing, and speaking)
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience as an Occupational Therapist (new graduates welcome to apply)
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team environment
