Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children in a child care centre setting. This includes engaging children in activities, guiding and assisting with daily routines, and submitting written observations to early childhood educators or supervisors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage children in activities that promote learning and development
  • Guide and assist children with daily routines, including eating, dressing, and toilet habits
  • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
  • Knowledge of licensing regulations and establishment of guidelines for behaviour
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a child care centre setting
  • Child development assistant (ECE level 1) certification
  • Dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, judgement, and reliability
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a child care centre setting with a team of 5-10 people. The work language is English, and the work hours are 35 hours per week.
