About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Strategic Communications Specialist to join our team at JRS Engineering. As a key member of our Communications Department, you will play a vital role in supporting our business development initiatives and driving our brand forward.

Key Responsibilities
  • Content Development and Coordination
    • Research and gather information for various corporate communications and marketing activities.
    • Develop and draft high-quality content for corporate communications, marketing materials, and other media.
  • Marketing and Branding
    • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote our brand and services.
    • Design and develop marketing materials, including project description sheets, company profiles, and other promotional items.
    • Manage and maintain our company's image library and ensure all images are correctly tagged and stored.
  • Event Support and Planning
    • Support the planning and execution of corporate events, including client events, trade shows, and conferences.
    • Assist in coordinating logistics, preparing materials, and event communications.
  • Proposal Development and Support
    • Assist in drafting custom proposals for comprehensive RFPs (Requests for Proposals).
  • Internal Communications and Administration
    • Develop and implement internal communications strategies to engage and inform our team members.
    • Provide administrative support to the Communications Department, including scheduling meetings, tracking expenses, and maintaining files.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
    • 2-3 years of experience in a communications, public relations, marketing, or related role.
  • Skills and Competencies
    • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
    • Ability to compose correspondence, reports, presentations, and other written materials using clear and concise language.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
    • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of business personnel.
    • Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment.
    • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
