About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Communications Consultant to join our team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our communications team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing effective communications strategies to support our organization's goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive communications plans to engage internal and external stakeholders, including employees, patients, families, and the community.
  • Provide strategic counsel to senior leaders and other stakeholders on communications-related matters, including media relations, crisis communications, and issues management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement communications campaigns, including social media, email, and print materials.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including media, community groups, and government agencies.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our organization's vision, mission, and values, and ensure that communications efforts are aligned with these principles.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in communications, and apply this knowledge to inform our communications strategies and tactics.
Requirements
  • University degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in communications, preferably in a public sector or healthcare organization.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective communications strategies and campaigns.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
