SSP Group operates a variety of dining establishments within the Edmonton International Airport, featuring brands such as Starbucks, Tim Hortons, The Canadian Brewhouse, Belgian Beer Cafe, Boston Pizza, Tap & Pour, and Upper Crust.

At SSP Group, our Food and Beverage Servers take pride in delivering exceptional service while presenting handcrafted drinks and delectable meals. Our team stays informed on the latest trends in the beverage sector, showcasing their skills in crafting drinks with precision and care. The fast-paced environment demands that our servers maintain speed and accuracy while providing outstanding customer service effortlessly.

Responsibilities of the Server Role:

Welcome guests promptly and courteously Process orders through the point of sale system and generate checks for each patron Handle cash transactions, provide change, verify charge validity, and ensure proper execution of vouchers Maintain an organized and well-stocked bar area at all times Oversee the preparation, cutting, and storage of fresh garnishes, juices, and other perishables daily to ensure quality Comply with all local, state, and corporate regulations regarding the service of alcoholic beverages Perform routine cleaning tasks with standard cleaning products as directed by management to meet health standards Carry out additional duties as assigned

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Minimum one year of experience in a serving role Smart Serve certification is mandatory Fundamental knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service, particularly regarding alcoholic drinks Proficient in verbal and written English Ability to read, speak, and comprehend English to communicate effectively with guests and take orders Basic math skills necessary for operating a cash register, making change, totaling guest checks, and understanding weights and measurements.
