Senior Infrastructure Engineer

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at Covéa Insurance Group. As a key member of our Infrastructure Team, you'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our VMware Virtual Infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement VMware Cloud Foundation, vSAN, Horizon, and Aria Storage arrays and SAN fabric.
  • Maintain and update the virtual infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Serve as the VMware Subject Matter Expert for complex support issues.
  • Plan and implement future VMware major releases into the virtual estate.
  • Collaborate with the backup and recovery specialist to deliver robust and manageable services.
  • Work with the Business Continuity teams to test and deliver a robust, secure, and high-performing recovery plan.
  • Assist and resolve vulnerabilities detected by our internal Information Security team.
  • Lead infrastructure or technical projects, delivering to agreed cost, quality, and timeframes.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience working with VMware products and storage solutions.
  • Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (vSAN based) experience preferred.
  • Windows Server technologies and backup and recovery procedures.
  • Patch cycles and maintaining secure environments.
  • ITIL qualification at foundation level or willingness to obtain.
  • VMWare Certified Professional.
