**Job Description:**

The Senior Medical Assistant plays a critical role in the delivery of high-quality patient care at The Methodist Hospital. This position requires a strong foundation in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Conduct thorough patient interviews to gather medical history and chief complaints
  • Prepare patients for exams and procedures, including vital sign collection and medical record review
  • Accurately perform routine medical procedures, such as EKGs and rapid strep tests
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, including documentation of patient interactions and test results

**Requirements:**

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or certification preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience in a medical assistant role
  • Certification as a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
