Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapist to join our team at Fraser Health. As a Physiotherapist, Schools, you will provide comprehensive rehabilitation services to school-age children with special needs, promoting their physical function, fitness, and motor performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide physiotherapy services to children with special needs, including assessment, consultation, education, and intervention.
- Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation programs to meet the needs of each child.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to care.
- Provide in-service education to students, teachers, and other school staff on topics related to rehabilitation and special needs.
- Assess and recommend modifications to improve accessibility and facilitate the functioning of children with special needs.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with parents, schools, physicians, and community agencies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
- Two years' recent, related experience, including one year in pediatric rehabilitation.
- Current full registration with the College of Physical Therapists of BC (CPTBC).
- Eligible for membership in the Physiotherapy Association of British Columbia (PABC).
- Valid Class V B.C. Driver's Licence and access to a personal vehicle for business-related purposes.
Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work in a variety of settings, including schools and community agencies.
