Job Summary:

The University of Toronto is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of various events.

About the Role:

This role will be responsible for conceptualizing, organizing, and executing event activities, analyzing client needs, and building relationships with stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Event Planning and Execution: Coordinate end-to-end logistics of internal and external events, including conceptualizing and executing on event activities in line with stakeholder requirements.
  • Client Needs Analysis: Analyze client needs and make recommendations on event logistics and options.
  • Stakeholder Relationships: Build and strengthen relationships with stakeholders and partners of strategic importance.
  • Logistical Details: Determine logistical details and activities for events and/or programming.
  • Event Implementation: Oversee the implementation of event plans and activities.
  • Post-Event Evaluation: Conduct post-event evaluation, analysis, and recommendations for changes.
  • Administrative Processes: Analyze administrative processes and procedures and recommend changes for improvement.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent: A Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of acceptable education and experience.
  • Experience: Minimum three years of experience coordinating end-to-end logistics of internal and external events.
  • Skills: Intermediate skills in MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, as well as demonstrated skills using content management systems like WordPress and Drupal or acceptable equivalents.
  • Technical Skills: Skilled in the use of event management platforms (e.g., Eventbrite) and online meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom, MS Teams).
  • Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact and connect with diverse audiences.

What We Offer:

In addition to a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, we offer a hybrid work arrangement and opportunities for professional growth and development.
