Volunteer Services Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Volunteer Services Coordinator to join our dynamic team at Halton Healthcare. As a key member of our Volunteer Services team, you will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities of our adult and youth volunteers, ensuring a seamless and high-quality experience for our patients, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the recruitment, selection, placement, training, risk management, orientation, evaluation, supervision, and recognition of adult and youth volunteers.
- Develop and implement effective volunteer management strategies to enhance the volunteer experience and support the achievement of our organizational goals.
- Collaborate with the Georgetown Hospital Volunteer Association and coordinate the high school co-operative education program.
- Perform administrative tasks, including volunteer database management, to ensure efficient and effective volunteer operations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with volunteers, staff, and stakeholders to promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Completion of an Undergraduate Degree Program.
- Volunteer Management Certificate or equivalent.
- Minimum three years of experience leading adult and youth volunteers.
- Experience working in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Proficient in volunteer database use, preferably VSys One or Better Impact.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with strong time-management skills.
- Satisfactory employment and attendance record.
