Volunteer Services Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our Volunteer Services team as a Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of adult and youth volunteers at Georgetown Hospital, including recruitment, selection, placement, training, risk management, orientation, evaluation, supervision, and recognition.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the Volunteer Development Cycle, including recruitment, selection, placement, training, risk management, orientation, evaluation, supervision, and recognition of all volunteers.
- Perform all related administrative functions, including volunteer databases.
- Work in partnership with the Georgetown Hospital Volunteer Association and coordinate the high school co-operative education program.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance the volunteer experience and increase volunteer engagement.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless volunteer experience.
- Completion of an Undergraduate Degree Program.
- Volunteer Management Certificate or equivalent.
- Experience leading adult and youth volunteers (minimum three years).
- Experience working in a health care setting is preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
- Proficient in volunteer database use, preferably VSys One or Better Impact.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, with strong time-management skills.
- Satisfactory employment and attendance record.
