About the Role

The Lead Principal Product Strategist conceptualizes, plans, and implements product(s) to drive business goals and meet customer needs. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop product roadmaps, prioritize features, and ensure successful product launches.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Drive business improvement through performance measurement.
  • Plan, execute, and manage product development throughout its lifecycle.
  • Define the conception, development, and implementation of a product.
  • Enhance user experience by improving usability, accessibility, and desirability of a design solution.
  • Support vendor and customer selection, contracts, and performance to maximize operational and financial outcomes and mitigate risk.
  • Identify, engage, and manage diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prioritize work effort and resources accordingly.
  • Conduct presentations and facilitate workshops using storytelling to connect, influence, and engage the audience.
  • Define value drivers and determine the boundaries of an opportunity to determine if it is worth further investment.
  • Source information, plan, and conduct analysis to support evidence-based decision making.
  • Determine the underlying cause of problems and evaluate multiple solutions to ensure a planned and structured approach to solving complex problems.
Key Responsibilities

This role requires a high degree of business acumen, with a deep understanding of project execution risks and strong experience with vendor and contract management practices and processes.

You will need to have a deep understanding of the requirements to effectively manage the end-to-end lifecycle of product(s), including experience with underground communications, technology infrastructure, and mining systems.

Additionally, you will need to have experience with technology service management frameworks, understanding of agile and waterfall project management methodologies, and experience leading teams and creating an environment of trust and collaboration.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualification in engineering or a trade equivalent.
  • Strong business acumen and experience with project execution risks.
  • Deep understanding of product lifecycle management.
  • Experience with technology infrastructure and mining systems.
  • Experience with technology service management frameworks.
  • Understanding of agile and waterfall project management methodologies.
  • Experience leading teams and creating an environment of trust and collaboration.
