Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Women in Trades Program Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of girls and women by promoting careers in trades and technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with the WITT facilitator to coordinate and implement WITT programs, providing instruction and support to students, program heads, instructors, and community partners.
  • Build relationships with students, program heads, instructors, and community partners, delivering presentations and providing guidance and advice on women in careers in trades or technology.
  • Provide campus WITT communications through media relations, social media, and other channels, ensuring effective communication and outreach.
  • Provide appropriate documentation and follow-up reports, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Travel to various locations, including schools and community centers, to deliver presentations and provide support to students and program partners.
  • Work effectively as a team member in an ever-changing environment, adapting to new challenges and priorities.
Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities
  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Completion of a journeyperson certificate in a recognized trade and/or recognized technology diploma or degree.
  • Two years' recent and relevant work experience (within the last five years).
  • Familiarity with WITT philosophy and operations.
  • Ability to work with girls and women in a structured/non-structured setting.
  • Effective instructional ability, interpersonal and communication skills, and demonstrated competence in the use of technology.
  • Demonstrated valuing diversity and ability to function as a team member in an ever-changing environment.

  • Demonstrated competence and recent experience in the use of the internet, e-mail, MS Office Suite software, and the ability to learn and adapt to changing technology.
