Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Women in Trades Program Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and implementing Women in Trades programs, providing instruction and guidance to students, and building relationships with community partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and implement Women in Trades programs, including developing and delivering curriculum and training materials.
  • Provide instruction and guidance to students, including one-on-one coaching and group training sessions.
  • Build relationships with community partners, including schools, community organizations, and industry partners.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with industry partners to provide students with opportunities for work experience and job placement.
  • Provide guidance and advice to girls and women on career development and job placement.
  • Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement program evaluations and assessments.
Qualifications
  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Completion of a journeyperson certificate in a recognized trade and/or recognized technology diploma or degree.
  • Two years' recent and relevant work experience (within the last five years).
  • Familiarity with Women in Trades philosophy and operations.
  • Ability to work with girls and women in a structured/non-structured setting.
  • Ability to function as a team member in an ever-changing environment.
  • Effective instructional ability.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated competence and recent experience in the use of the internet, e-mail, MS Office Suite software and the ability to learn and adapt to changing technology.
  • Demonstrates valuing diversity.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, with some travel and evening/weekend work required.
