Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Women in Trades Program Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of girls and women by promoting careers in trades and technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with the WITT facilitator to coordinate and implement WITT programs, providing instruction and support to students, program heads, instructors, and community partners.
  • Build relationships with students, program heads, instructors, and community partners, delivering presentations and providing guidance and advice on women in careers in trades or technology.
  • Provide campus WITT communications through media relations, social media, and other channels, ensuring effective communication and outreach.
  • Develop and maintain documentation and reports, tracking progress and outcomes of WITT programs.
  • Collaborate with the WITT team to identify and address the needs of girls and women in trades and technology, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their career goals.
  • Travel to various locations, including schools and community centers, to deliver presentations and provide support to students and program partners.
Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities
  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Completion of a journeyperson certificate in a recognized trade and/or recognized technology diploma or degree.
  • Two years' recent and relevant work experience (within the last five years) in a related field.
  • Familiarity with WITT philosophy and operations, with a strong understanding of the needs and challenges faced by girls and women in trades and technology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups and individuals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
  • Proficiency in the use of technology, including Microsoft Office Suite and other software applications.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a strong understanding of the importance of promoting women in trades and technology.
