About the Role
This position requires a Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our team at Ravensview, part of Homewood Health. The successful candidate will provide direct health care services to patients with complex addictions and mental health issues.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide physical, addiction, and mental status assessments and refer patients to the physician for further examination.
- Observe, monitor, evaluate, and document patient progress, symptoms, and behavioral changes.
- Implement the principles and practices of a patient-centered recovery model in mental health and addictions treatment.
- Conduct comprehensive mental health and addiction risk assessments, formulate treatment and discharge plans, and provide crisis intervention.
- Perform detox assessments, provide counseling, education, and support to individual patients, and communicate with patients and families about health findings, diagnosis, treatment, self-care, and prognosis.

Requirements
- Bachelor degree or College Diploma from an accredited Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing program.
- Two years' recent related experience in a mental health and/or substance use setting.
- Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals.
- Comprehensive knowledge of mental disorders, addictions, and concurrent disorders, and the treatment and principles of recovery in mental illness and addictions, including suicide prevention, treatment, and emergency response.
