Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at Friends Communication. As a Retail Store Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail store, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our sales goals are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assign sales workers to duties and ensure that they are properly trained and equipped to provide excellent customer service.
  • Hire and train or arrange for training of staff to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Authorize payments by cheque and ensure that all financial transactions are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Order merchandise and ensure that it is properly received and stored.
  • Authorize return of merchandise and ensure that all returns are processed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Establish work schedules and ensure that all employees are aware of their responsibilities and deadlines.
  • Sell merchandise and provide excellent customer service to ensure that our customers are satisfied with their purchases.
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters to ensure that our management team is informed and able to make data-driven decisions.
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages, in a timely and professional manner.
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure that our store is always well-stocked and that our customers have access to the products they need.
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers to ensure that our store is running smoothly and efficiently.

Requirements

  • 3-4 years of experience in a retail management role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Reliability and ability to work independently.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and a customer-focused approach.
