About Us:

Talize is a leading provider of textile recycling services, dedicated to reducing waste and promoting sustainability. Our mission is to make a positive impact on the environment by collecting and recycling textiles, and we're looking for a skilled Collections Driver to join our team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collect and transport recyclable materials from donation bins and other collection points.
  • Ensure all work areas are maintained, cleaned, and in operational condition.
  • Collaborate with collection supervisors to maintain bins and replace them as needed.
  • Dispose of garbage collected from collection bins in a responsible manner.
  • Scan and access products collected from home pick-up locations to ensure they meet company standards.
  • Schedule product deliveries and pickups to Talize stores as needed.
  • Assist the administration team in collecting company supplies from vendors.
  • Report any incidents or accidents to the immediate supervisor or manager.
  • Follow company protocols and transportation laws for commercial trucks.
  • Maintain vehicles in operational condition and ensure they are safe to operate.
  • Provide excellent customer service to third-party vendors and customers.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a driver or in a similar capacity.
  • Minimum 25 years of age.
  • Experience driving 18-24 feet trucks/vehicles.
  • Valid G license with a good driving abstract.

  • Flexibility to perform various job duties and adapt to schedules.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

  • Ability to drive for long periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs. or more without assistance.
  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Physically alert while driving.
