Waste Collection Operator

We are seeking a dedicated Waste Collection Operator to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the efficient collection and transportation of residential waste materials.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate specialized waste collection vehicles, including Rear-Pack Garbage Trucks or Side Loader Recycle Trucks.
  • Safely and efficiently collect various types of residential curbside waste, such as garbage, yard waste, organics, and recycling materials.
  • Conduct thorough pre- and post-shift vehicle inspections to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by interacting courteously with residents and addressing any concerns promptly.
  • Repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs from the ground into the hopper of the collection vehicle.
  • Dispose of collected waste responsibly at designated transfer stations and landfills.
Requirements:
  • Valid DZ license with a clean driving record (CVOR and Driver's Abstract).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience operating automatic trucks.
  • Physical fitness to perform the demands of the role, including lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
  • Strong driving and loading skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in various weather conditions.
  • Steel-toed work boots that extend above the ankle.
