Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide therapeutic, diagnostic, technical, and teaching respiratory therapy services to patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory therapy services to patients, including oxygen therapy, ventilation, and aerosol therapy.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests to assess respiratory function and identify potential health issues.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to improve respiratory health and function.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Provide education and training to patients and their families on respiratory health and disease management.
Requirements
  • Current registration with the Manitoba Association of Respiratory Therapists (MARRT) is required.
  • Recent and related clinical experience is preferred.
  • Entry-to-practice academic credential in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited Canadian program or a MARRT-approved equivalent is required.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training is required.
Working Conditions

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred.

Please note that an employee is not permitted to hold two or more positions across the WRHA legal entity that combine to equal more than 1.0 EFT.
