Job Title: ECE Assistant

We are seeking a qualified ECE Assistant to join our team at County Place Early Learning and Care Centre. As an ECE Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children in our centre.

Job Summary:

The ECE Assistant will assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This includes planning and implementing child-care programs, preparing snacks and arranging rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods, and establishing guidelines for behaviour.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Plan and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Establish guidelines for behaviour.
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
Requirements:
  • Child development assistant (ECE level 1) certification.
  • Emergency child care first aid and CPR certification.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • CPR Certificate.
  • Valid driver's licence.
  • Own vehicle.
  • Public transportation is available.
