Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

Lakeland Ridge Childcare is seeking a qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our team. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality childcare and education to children in our care.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to work with our team of experienced educators. The successful candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Lead activities that promote learning and development, such as storytelling, singing, and outings to local points of interest.
  • Order supplies and equipment as needed to ensure a safe and healthy environment for children.
  • Encourage children to express their creativity through various media, such as art, music, and physical activity.
  • Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues and community service providers working with children.
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of other Early Childhood Educators and Early Childhood Educator Assistants.
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in early childhood education.
  • Excellent oral communication skills.
  • Flexibility and reliability.
