Welcome to our Fairmont Chateau Whistler student job opportunities page, offering students in hospitality tourism culinary or hotel and restaurant management programs the chance to bridge their classroom studies with real-world resort operations.

We are currently recruiting for various roles across multiple departments including Housekeeping Room Attendant Second Cook First Cook Stewarding Attendant Kitchen Dishwasher Golf Operations Turf Care Server Assistant Host Banquets Server Barista Deli Attendant Front Desk Agent Reservations & Royal Service Agent.

To be eligible applicants must be enrolled in a related post-graduate program such as Hospitality Tourism Recreation Turf Care Golf Operations or Culinary. Successful candidates will be matched to available positions based on relevant work experience academic background and operational requirements.

Our internships offer competitive starting pay rates ranging from $17.40 to $22.05 per hour depending on position type. Students gain valuable hands-on experience at a large-scale luxury hotel while developing skills knowledge and professional networks that set them up for long-term success.

Job Requirements and QualificationsFood and Beverage Positions
  • Must have BC Serving It Right certification
  • Previous Food & Beverage experience preferred
Culinary Division Positions
  • Previousexperience as a cook an asset
  • Must be able to lift carry and pull up to 50lbs
  • Standing and walking throughout shift and exposure to kitchen equipment including large and small ovens stoves steam kettles mixers sheeter fryers rational ovens steamer tills skillets fridges and freezers as well as blast freezers
Housekeeping/Stewarding Division Positions
  • Previous similar experience an asset
  • Must be physically fit and able to stand and walk throughout shift and lift carry and pull up to 50lbs
Room Division Positions
  • Previous front office/reservations/hospitality/housekeeping experience preferred
  • Previous Property Manager (Opera) experience an asset
Golf Operations / Turf Care Positions
  • Previous similar experience an asset
  • Must be physically fit and able to stand and walk throughout shift and lift carry and pull up to 50lbs
