Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinician to join our Specialized Services department. As a key member of our team, you will provide primary therapeutic, case management, and mental health and substance use support services to clients in various settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assessment and treatment services to clients, including initial and ongoing assessments, and develop and implement care plans in collaboration with the inter-professional clinical team and clients.
  • Teach clients and others, both one-on-one and in groups, to promote healthy behaviors and coping strategies.
  • Integrate best practice and current research evidence to support professional practice decisions and actions, with a strong focus on harm reduction and trauma-informed approaches.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the interdisciplinary team, using verbal, written, and computer communication means.
  • Apply conflict resolution skills and promote client-focused care that demonstrates care for and with clients and significant others.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to promote cooperation and implement activities to promote excellence in client care.
Requirements
  • Baccalaureate degree in a mental health and substance use related discipline, plus two years of recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Strong assessment and treatment skills, with the ability to complete initial and ongoing client assessments and develop and implement care plans.
  • Excellent communication and teaching skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
  • Ability to integrate best practice and current research evidence to support professional practice decisions and actions.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
