Job Title: Community Support Worker

Join our team at Spectrum Society for Community Living as a Community Support Worker, where you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the life of a vibrant and independent individual.

About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Community Support Worker to provide support and assistance to V, a dynamic and enthusiastic individual who enjoys crafts, music, and socializing with friends and family. As a Community Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing a safe and supportive environment that enables V to live independently and pursue her interests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping, cleaning, and laundry
  • Encourage physical activities such as going for walks, yoga, and dance
  • Assist with crafts and support V to stay in touch with friends and family via Zoom, cards, phone calls, and visits

Requirements:

  • Ability to motivate, encourage, and engage the interests of others
  • Computer proficiency (email, Word, internet usage)
  • Sign Language is an asset, and training is provided

What We Offer:

  • A competitive hourly rate of $23.50-$25.75
  • A temporary to permanent opportunity with a possibility of up to 18 months
  • A supportive and inclusive work environment
