Are you a skilled technical professional looking for a challenging role in configuration management?

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) in ServiceNow, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date information.
  • Work with Technical Service Owners and Subject Matter Experts to build relationships between assets and ensure the accuracy of Configuration Items (CIs) within the CMDB.
  • Assist in conducting configuration audits and coordinate with Technical Service Owners to correct issues and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Prepare the Configuration Management plan and collaborate with IT Owners and Change Management in the assessment of what CIs are impacted by a Change to a service.
  • Develop and maintain strong analytical skills to review Discovery patterns and payloads, manage subnets, monitor discovery schedules, and maintain discovery schedules and dates.
  • Monitor and manage expectations to CMDB policies and demonstrate expert-level skills in the use of MS Excel to create/maintain macros, pivot tables, VLOOKUP & formulas.

Requirements:

  • At least 3+ years of hands-on technical experience with ServiceNow Discovery, including service mappings.
  • At least 3+ years of hands-on working experience in data reporting with ServiceNow CMDB, Asset Management & Service Catalogue.
  • At least 3+ years of hands-on working experience in data reporting with ServiceNow Incident/Problem/Change Management modules.
  • At least 2+ years of working experience in performing audits of hardware, configuration items, as needed to maintain accuracy within the CMDB.
  • Strong analytical skills, good communication (verbal/written) and good interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external business partners and vendors.
  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Engineering or in a related field.
