Main Duties and Competencies:

  • The Senior I&C Engineering Manager will provide guidance and coaching to the program team, serving as a senior member of the engineering leadership team.
  • Key duties include:
    • Leading a team of I&C Engineers/Specialists and designers for a sustainable program or multiple projects at a time.
    • Serving as a senior technical resource, checker, and consultant for the I&C department.
    • Providing technical guidance and mentorship to intermediate/junior engineers in their day-to-day activities.
    • Reviewing client scope documents, seeking clarifications on I&C scope, and providing detailed I&C man-hour estimations for proposals.
    • Coordinating with the Project Management team to ensure I&C activities align with the agreed project schedule and client expectations.
    • Reviewing/checking I&C deliverables, including datasheets, sizing calculations, MR packages, and Control drawings/deliverables.
    • Assisting in preparing cost estimates for I&C bids and proposal work.
    • Providing I&C inputs to the detailed scope of work, design basis documents, and project execution plan.
    • Representing the I&C team to the client and ensuring meeting client expectations.
    • Steering review sessions for I&C deliverables with different project stakeholders, including client operations/project teams.

Requirements:

  • Ten (10) years or more of experience in Instrumentation and Controls in the Oil and Gas Industry.
  • CET minimum required or P. Eng. (preferred).
  • Leadership experience demonstrated in Instrumentation and Controls in past projects.
  • Strong analytical skills and communication skills (oral and written).
  • Ability to coordinate all Instrumentation and Controls work with multi-disciplinary teams, including Process, Mechanical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, and CAD support.
  • Understanding of project management methodologies.
  • Able to provide engineering estimates.
  • Ability to work within a diverse team environment.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
