Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Line & Prep Cook to join our culinary team at Whitewater Ski Resort. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional food and service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining Food Safety and Quality: Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Preparation and Service: Assist in the preparation and presentation of food, including the completion of daily prep lists and line setup.
  • Customer Service: Provide friendly and efficient service to our guests, ensuring that they have an enjoyable and memorable experience in our cafeteria.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Cleaning: Assist in the opening and closing procedures for the cafeteria, including equipment cleaning and maintenance.
  • Risk Management and Compliance: Implement all risk management procedures as per Whitewater Ski Resort policies, and maintain current knowledge of legal standards pertaining to equipment, safety regulations, and OHS practices.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure seamless service and maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Maturity and Reliability: Demonstrate maturity and reliability in your work, with a strong commitment to providing exceptional service.
  • Experience and Qualifications: Possess 1-2 years of experience in a restaurant or cafeteria, and hold a Food Safe Level 1 certification.
  • Skills and Abilities: Possess reliable and presentable qualities, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
