About the Opportunity

Your role as a support worker will be to provide support and actively engage a supported individual to live a fulfilling and increasingly independent life. You will be a motivated and outgoing person with a passion for person-centred supports, helping individuals to discover more of their community, learn new life-skills, find employment, and more.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing individuals with support to achieve various life goals
  • Accompanying individuals on community outings, including volunteering, paid employment, and leisure activities
  • Maintaining records of daily activities and goal progression
About You

You are interested in supporting others and have a good understanding of the person-centred and active support approach. Additionally, you will have the following requirements:

Requirements:
  • Class 5 driver's license
  • Access to a vehicle
  • First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Clear criminal record (paid by CLS)
  • Clean driver's abstract
Assets:
  • Comfortable supporting in a pool setting
  • Prior paid or volunteer experience
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training
  • Mandt System
  • Knowledge of Person Centred Active Supports
