We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Burlington Charcoal Pit. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Service: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet the needs of our customers.
- Kitchen Management: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure they are clean and well-maintained.
- Staff Training and Development: Train kitchen staff and helpers in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
- Inventory Management: Order supplies and equipment as needed to maintain inventory levels.
- Team Leadership: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient and effective kitchen operations.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
As a Cook at Burlington Charcoal Pit, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on providing excellent customer service. You will be required to stand for extended periods and handle heavy loads.
Requirements- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a kitchen environment.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, handle heavy loads, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Language: English.
- Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
