Job Overview

Merrick & Company is seeking a highly motivated and talented Architecture student for a paid summer Co-op position at our office. As a Co-op, you will have the opportunity to work on rewarding client projects and gain unparalleled training and development opportunities.

This is a unique chance to gain technical experience in the field of architecture, working under the supervision of a Project Architect. You will be exposed to all aspects of project design and have the chance to work on interesting and challenging projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design and development of architectural projects
  • Collaborate with other drafters and designers to achieve project goals
  • Work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines
  • Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues through written and oral reports
  • Develop problem-solving skills and think critically to resolve design issues
Requirements
  • Pursuing an Architecture degree from a CACB accredited program or a current graduate student pursuing a Master's degree in Architecture
  • Knowledge of Revit and basic skills in AutoCAD, Sketch-up, and 3D MAX
  • Portfolio with application
  • Canadian Citizenship required for client projects
Preferred Qualifications
  • Local candidates are strongly preferred
  • Knowledge in Adobe Photoshop and graphic experience
