About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Graphic Designer to join our Marketing department at our Head Office in Abbotsford, BC. As a member of our in-house design team, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including videography, photography, package design, web design, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize and Design: Develop creative ideas and design concepts for various projects, including logos, brochures, posters, websites, social media content, advertisements, and more.
- Visual Branding: Maintain and enhance our brand identity, ensuring consistency across all design materials to reinforce brand recognition.
- Graphics Production: Create high-quality graphics, illustrations, and multimedia elements that effectively convey the desired message and meet project objectives.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize graphic design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.), to create and edit design assets.
- Layout and Typography: Develop layouts, select appropriate fonts, and arrange visual elements to create visually appealing and easy-to-read designs.
- Color Theory: Apply a deep understanding of color theory to create harmonious and engaging color schemes.
- Image Editing: Retouch and manipulate images to enhance visual appeal and ensure quality in print and digital media.
- Client Collaboration: Communicate with clients and team members to understand project requirements, provide design updates, and receive feedback.
- Deadlines: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet tight deadlines, and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Market Trends: Stay current with design and industry trends, incorporating new techniques and technologies to improve design quality.
- File Management: Organize and maintain design files and assets to ensure easy access for future reference and revisions.
Requirements:
What We're Looking For:
- A Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience in graphic design, with a portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design projects.
- Proficiency in graphic design software, particularly Adobe Creative Suite.
- A strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with web design and user interface (UI) design.
- Animation and video editing skills.
- Familiarity with printing and production processes.
