Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Brand Ambassador/Community Outreach Representative. As a representative of Senators Sports & Entertainment, you will be responsible for promoting the Ottawa Senators brand and engaging with fans and guests at community events throughout the Greater Ottawa region and at home games as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work in pairs or in a team to deliver exceptional customer service and promote the Ottawa Senators brand at community events.
  • Responsible for following event details regarding event set up and tear down, and completing tasks on time.
  • Interact with fans in a professional manner, initiating conversations about the Ottawa Senators, community programs, and ticket opportunities.
  • Collect fan data through digital platforms.
  • Answer routine questions related to the team, hockey, and venue.
  • Host or act as emcee for events such as Senators watch parties or community events.
  • Provide a fun and engaging experience at all events, promoting a positive experience with the Ottawa Senators brand.

Secondary Role at Hockey Games

  • Work in pairs or in a team to deliver exceptional customer service and promote the Ottawa Senators brand at hockey games.
  • Attend pre-event meetings to gain instructions on activities and how they will be executed.
  • Responsible for following event details regarding event set up and tear down.
  • Interact with thousands of fans on a game night, initiating conversations and executing contests and promotions.
  • Answer routine questions related to the team, hockey, and venue as needed.

Requirements

  • Outgoing and Confident Personality - You will be representing the Ottawa Senators brand throughout the community and should feel comfortable initiating conversations, collecting data, and speaking to large groups of people.
  • Strong Work Ethic - Our industry is fast-paced, and troubleshooting will be essential. We need hardworking individuals who can take initiative while exercising appropriate judgment with little supervision.
  • Great Energy and Positive Attitude - As a Brand Ambassador, you represent the organization in a positive and professional manner. Our Brand Ambassadors love the team, the city, and our fans.
  • Problem Solver - Solve problems that might arise at an event, provide solution alternatives, and make the appropriate decision to implement in a timely and professional manner, recognizing when to elevate issues to full-time staff.
  • Adaptable - Be able to adjust to conditions that may arise and open to different alternatives while still providing a positive experience with the Ottawa Senators brand.
  • 18 years or older.
  • Bilingualism (English & French) is an asset.
  • Open to learning new technology.
  • Valid driver's license and provide a clean driver's abstract.
  • Able to lift a minimum of 20lbs.
  • Stand up to 8 hours at a time.
  • Able to work weekdays, evenings, and/or weekends.
